I got this recipe from Celesta Ranisi a licensed midwife, who takes care of pregnant moms and their growing babies, in San Diego. Don’t just use this for high blood pressure while you’re pregnant. This is a great salad for flushing your pregnant body of any swelling (edema) or just a way to eat healthy whether your pregnant or not.

Celesta Salad

Ingredients:

  • Green onions
  • Garlic
  • Dandelion greens
  • 1 raw beet
  • Parsley
  • 1 whole cucumber
  • Watercress
  • Red leaf lettuce
  • Bell Pepper

Make a dressing with olive oil, lemon juice and herbs to taste.

For HBP, Eat 2cups 2x day with 6 oz of protein. Or once a day if you’re not dealing with High Blood Pressure and its complications in pregnancy.
